Well, Tomm was talking about one yesterday.. and I decided to install one on a server.

SVN's are pretty amazing now that I know how to work it, and Zend Studio.

Everytime you commit a file (sort of like saving) it makes a new revision on the server and saves all the other files.

Zend studio diff:

Show Hide

You can see what has changed since the last file commit, etc.
You can pull up any revision of a file.

Its pretty amazing, if you ever get a chance to work with one, do it! :]

Haha, I have to agree. Mind you its probably like everything else - its only confusing until you get used to it

Yeah, it was way confusing... now I am used to it.

SVN is awful. GIT is supposedly the greatest revision control system although aparently bazaar is good aswell.

GIT and Bazaar are distributed revision control systems so you can't really compare.
