It's something to do, Quite a nice little thing to be doing aswell. Generally alot of "Internet work" is volunteerary, I'm sure most staff didn't sign up to be payed it's just something we enjoy doing. The fact that management / higher staff get payed is just a nice little bonus I'm sure

Habbox has a lot of staff. If they gave VIP or 1pound to everyone they'd loose a lot of money. When I was a manager I had the option of 1 month VIP or 1pound. I took the VIP because I didnt have much use for the money. So you can get VIP. The rest of the money made by the sites would go to paying for hosting services. This costs a lot as there are quite a few sites relying on it.

To be honest with all the extra tasks you do and responsibilities you have as a manager or higher the little payment is a nice little bonus.
