Core or premium is really confusing me

im going to buy an xbox but i just want to go online play with mates and play 360 games not any old xbox games so whats the purpose in bying premium for me and what does the hard drive do

hard drive stores game saves and demos and arcade games etc etc etc. just get premium it works out cheaper in the end and it's better.

Core does allow access to XBL...

Better off getting the premium. Also the Core has kinda been discontinued now, Its the XBOX360 ARCADE

The premium is just a core with harddrive and other items included like the headset and stuff.

You should just get the premium.

Yes it does, you just don't get the 1 month free trial of Gold. You still get a Silver membership and can still get Gold.
