ABC
Big Shots: 9 episodes completed; production on 4 more scripts winding down. Episode 8 scheduled to air November 29, leaving 1 new episode remaining before hiatus. Season order was for 13 episodes.
Boston Legal: 15 episodes completed out of 22 episode order. Episode 8 to go out December 4.
Brothers and Sisters: 12 episodes recorded. Episode 9 to air December 2.
Cashmere Mafia: Launch held back until end of strike.
Carpoolers: 13 out of 13 in the can.

It's about DVD sales. Writers aren't getting any of the money made from those sales, and it's quite a large portion they would get if it were in their contract. Writers in the Writers Guild of America aren't writing until then. Even shows which don't come out on DVD are involved. For now, it only effects late-night shows and shows where writing and performance coincide. But if it goes on long enough, it'll effect other shows like House and Lost etc.

Also, 12 000 writers are on stike. They want $0.08 per DVD sale rather than just $0.04 (assuming that DVD costs the customer $19.99)

well i mean the schedules themselves. new episodes of stuff are still on because they were written a while back, but if it goes on for enough months there won't be new anything.
