    Default Using no-ip.com to show your localhost?

    I've seen heaps of people doing this, and I know it has to do with forwarding ports, but whenever I try, it never works. I'm running a xampp setup on localhost, but how do I get it to be displayed onto the web?

    When you make a Host file on your account, make the type:

    Host Type:
    DNS Host (A)

    Make sure the IP address it shows is correct as well, and not just a network IP address or something, your actual computers ONLINE IP address.
    Kind Regards,

    Guy

    I've got a D-Link DSL-504G router, so I have access to forwarding ports... I don't want to use Hamachi, simply because I don't want to deal with virtual networks, I just want it to work.

    @iUnknown: Which hosts file?

    Unsure about opening them... You can forward them, however.

    Sorry, I'm aware what the Hosts area is, actually poked around no-ip (was so flustered with trying to get modem to work )

    What ports do we have to forward if we use the G series?
