I wear what you are calling 'chavy clothes', and I admit I used to get called a 'chav' quite often, untill I left school and started dressing up a bit more, but there was never a part of my life where I was a chav, I have always hung round in big groups of people, and that's because I have FRIENDS, and I do often swear, but that is just because I have a little bit of a torretorial syndrome, I like Eminem etc, but I would class myself as a Casual.

Little Guide to Chavs!

Hey,
We all know what ‘Chavs’ or ‘Neds’ are. Well, I’m going to talk about them and the things they do and say, in a ‘Little Guide to Chavs!’

Chav Talk

Chavs are fond of swear words, and use them to punctuate sentences and make the sentences sound more interesting.
Examples of Chav talk :
‘Is something the matter?’ translates into ‘Wot da #!?$ you lookin at?’
‘Pardon?’ translates into ‘Wot da #!?$ you sayin?’
‘Have you got a problem with me?’ translates into ‘Comon den, I’ll #!?$in batter you!’

Chavs also have favourite sayings, here are some:

‘Blazin’ – Very good
‘Check it’ – Look at this
‘Chuffed’ – Pleased
‘Coffin dodger’ – Old person
‘Cushty’ – Cool
‘Diss’ – To disrespect
‘Dob in’ – To tell of someone
‘Floor it’ – Drive very fast
‘Givin` it large’ – Overdoing it
‘Innit’ – Isn’t it
‘**** jockey’ – Homosexual
‘*****r’ – Very ugly person
‘Pregger’ – Pregnant person

Chav spotting

It’s quite easy to spot a Chav, as it is with any ‘labelled’ person. Normally Chavs walk around in big groups, and wear hoodies with caps on. They also normally wear all matching tracksuits. Many makes of clothing are now recognised with chavs.

Girl Chavs, also known as Chavettes, are easy to identify. They normally put lots of makeup on and wear short skirts, and short tops, or anything that reveals a lot.

Male Chavs, are easy to identify also. They wear lots of sports gear, or matching tracksuits. Including lots of accessories such as, chains, hats, rings or anything that is ‘bling’.
