Although rare trading is a big part of habbo for some people by trying to accumulate more and more furniture it isn't for others. And for the others rare values can be a pain, if people just want to make their room nice they can't go "oh a throne would look lovely here".

I guess there are two sides to the arguement. Everything has a value, and thats what makes habbo interesting for some people or things would be a lot better if everything was equal - but look what communism did to the world.

If Habbo had a Communist trading system where all rares were the same then many would leave as it would get boring and people wouldn't buy stuff when it came out.

It is a guide. Its fact, not opinion. Just because 95% choose to follow it, doesnt make it any less of a guide.

Did I ever say it wasn't a guide? No. It's just frustrating when people say Habbox is not to blame because it's just a guide, as if to say it plays no part in the price at which furni is sold.

Green Pillows recently fell from 10 CS to 6 CS, if Habbox had a effect then they wouldn't of moved that much in price.

That's complete crap. To say that Habbox doesn't influence anyone's decisions while trading is nonesense. I'll tell you why the values fall. With an unpopular rare like The Green Pillow, people will need to go lower than the Habbox price to make a sale - because others will think they're making a profit due to the value stated on Habbox. So, everyone's selling at 9HC instead of 10HC to make sales, and Habbox changes thier value to 9HC. Now people will start to sell for 8HC to make the sales. Then it continues until the value hits 6HC as you say. They wouldn't have sold at 6HC while the value on Habbox was 10HC. They wouldn't have needed to because people wouldn't be looking to get that bigger discount from the stated value.
It's not Habbox's fault - it's just what happens when you try to follow, record and publish the value of items which should change naturally.

You make idle statements and still give nothing to back them up.

The fact that a bunch of Habbox staff can't do thier job properly still doesn't give any suggestion as to how you think that people arn't influenced by the guide. Also, thier late updates just add to the problem, because if an item is naturally tending to rise, it is held back by the fact that Habbox is slow. It happened with the Black Mono when it was first released.
