READY FOR DE HUD? (My opinion on HD Gaming)

So I've being playing my PS3 in 720p for 2 months now, and now that Stranglehold has arrived I can finally have an opinion on whether it looks better or not.

To start off with , I have seen 360 in Standard Definition so I already know what a HD Console can do in that enviroment.

I sort of had this, a game like Uncharted looked crisper and more 'smooth' than it did than something like Gears Of War on a Standard Defintion. But it is only quite a small different, I played the Uncharted demo with my standard cable and all I had was this sort of grainy image but with the same detail of the HD, but there was this sort of 'fuzz' around the textures,
Drake still looked the sexy beast he is, but with loss of view of those features.

But the thing that was like 'no plz' , was the water. It was a sort of pool of grains of blue, didn't look lifelike at all.

So does HD matter? Absolutely not! A game isn't made by the visuals and textures ect. it's made by the gameplay, Uncharted was still as fun as it was.

I agree to an extent, however I think that graphics definitely add a great deal to the game, but gameplay far exceeds that

Yea, I agree that graphics don't matter as much as gameplay, but I would prefer a game that looks good to something that looks rubbish
Graphics like Pacman but the gameplay of Stranglehold would put me off, the graphics of Stranglehold and gameplay of Pacman would be much better though
Developers only need to make graphics look good if they gameplay is fun, stranglehold was boring game single and multiplayer, they put too much into graphics and not enough into gameplay which is why I used that as an example, I couldn't think of any other games that did it

I find Stranglehold fun, but only for one playthrough and you can't go multiplayer because everyone got the frickin' 360 version lol.

I didn't even beat it, I got to the level with the lasers and stuff and just got bored of it

I was just bored of the game at that point, couldn't be bothered to actually do that level

It does get quite boring near the end but the finale is like O_O

Best shootout I've had in a while.
