I personally don't like the outline applied to the text, it makes it seem "tatty", if that's the right word. Also the gradient just looks bland, spice it up a bit! Furthermore, try creating a symbol to go with the text - otherwise it isn't much of a logo, just a text with a simple gradient applied to it.

But well done for trying and Merry Christmas.
