    I usually have like £5 left over from lunch @ school
    and my mum/dad gives me £20

    £45 a week.

    i don't like the fact people rely on their EMA soley to spend it on alcohol and general stuff not to do with their education. most of them don't have jobs, and just leach of their parents anyway.

    Who said anyone who's on EMA spends their money on booze.
    For all you know they could be giving it to charity.
    My cousin who's 19 now, was on EMA £25 a week and he had a part-time job aswell.

    i wouldnt make assumptrions. the fact that most people on here are clever and are on EMA shows us that you can be wrong. maybe people dont have time to get jobs.

    also, the fact that people stay on to do a-levels surely shows that tey wouldnt spend it on alchohol. some might, most dont.

    still, there are some people who do that :rolleyes:

    i agree with that tbh
    most of my EMA is spent on buses and lunch
    and whatever i have left over i save untill i may need it
