The UN is fairly useless to be fair, they sit there have a chat and nothing really seems to get done (apart from human rights shizzle), the EU ISN'T ENTIRELY useless. Also, the UK is kind of a union, but also a country tbh.

Unions show some resistance towards large forces (ie. Russia, China and USA). Do we want these super-powers to rule the earth? The sooner the EU combines and all EU countries are obsolete the better. We need some pro-european party.

We don't benefit from the EU, only the eastern europians do who use it to come here. I do want super powers to rule but I want the United States to rule. The US is our friend and shares our values unlike China and Russia. The day China has more of a swing over world politics I will be scared.

I do not want to lose my identity to the EU, why should we join, that would mean we lose what little identity we have left and we'll be in a dictatorship. The EU is becoming more and more like the USSR

We all vote for our MEPs in the EU - it's a democracy (The USSR wasn't, and it was communist) Also, each state has a period of presidency. The UK's wasn't too long ago (though i believe everyone in the EU should vote for a single person to become president). And we won't loose our identity, we speak English. The Americans already think of us as 'Europe' and they don't even know the difference between Britain, the UK and England.Noone really cares about us as a nation.

And yes we do benefit, it allows us to purchase goods from Europe without import duty, it allows us to go on holiday and travel without needing visas, we can work freely within the EU (which eastern europeans can't YET). The East Europeans will stop coming soon, when their economy becomes on par with other EU countries - which is happening gradually.

Most countries have different parts which are richer than other. Wales for example has a worse economy than some states in the EU and the south of Italy is much poorer than the north. The EU has the largest economy in the world. Though atm i think it's the wrong time to revert to the euro. Our pound is particularly strong at the moment.
    goodbye.

Just because some political parties vote for some left wing pro-euro polititions in the EU doesn't mean it's a democracy. The EU is dominated by Left wingers and nations such as France and Germany push us around. Once this new union comes in we give up our right to veto most decisions made which concern our country, is that democracy?

On the trade issue, we could still trade with these nations with EU or without, the fact is the UK pays more money into the EU than it gets out of it so if we left we would be better off.

I know my parents voted for the East Midlands' MEP, people vote in the MEPs (at least in this country). And the lisbon treaty (which is mostly just the European Constitution) does give away some sovereignty, however, the MEPs are not going to pass any strange laws, as they'd affect their own countries too. I'm not interested in the UK joining the Shegen Agreement yet, as I believe the UK and Ireland and prime targets for immigrants, which i don't mind, unless they aren't skilled. I don't trust some EU countries to understand how dense our country is.

We don't benefit from the EU in a monetary way however we do recieve benefits as I have said above!
    goodbye.

We are about to sign away many of our remaining veto's and did you know the new EU Courts will be able to have the power to overule and veto's/disagreements in your own country. They will pass strange laws and give away our freedom as they have done in the past and are about to do within the next few months, they are all left wingers who want Britain to become part of this sponging biased union. We don't benefit AT ALL.

Yeah we will be giving up some sovereignty. However, YES it is 'leftwingers' that want us in the union, and last general election, labour won the election, meaning (in theory) there are more people who support Labour's ideas than the Conservatives - which includes their policy of signing the Lisbon treaty. And I know labour is under alot of pressure - I can't see the conservatives winning the next election. They seem like they think you'll vote for them cause Labour is crap and just promising things that i can't see them delivering.

And if you think you'd prefer the USA to become a super power - that's pathetic. They don't care about the UK. They'll use anything they want to get what they want - invading Iraq and Afghanistan (with our government blindly following). The EU needs to be a body which can act as a neutral force between China/Russia/USA.

We do benefit from the fact there is free-trade and free-movement between us and the continent - and we get protection from stupid/unjust laws from our own government (European Human Rights).
    goodbye.
