Visual Basic 6 is very old.. Microsoft stopped the main support for the program back in 2005.

Try looking at Visual Studio:

The reason you cant find it on microsoft is because it isnt free software..

It doesn't exist anymore by retail, it's an old name, you can find a basic tab but it'll take you to buying Visual Express, I personally prefer C#, then again I've hardly any experience with VE.. or VB6 for that matter.
