1000 is too few posts in my opinion. It's not hard to get 1,000 with all the forum games lying around.

It means the top posters will automatically get +12 rep power.

2,500 is a better figure, but I agree on the 1 rep power a year

and what about the rep? 250-500 per power?
the forum games thing, cant you just say its spam and not count the posts. i never understood why they counted as posts and it would also sure another problem about the spamming on them

1000-1500 is the ideal figure i would say.

Because people would start a thread saying "omg do this for rep" - then say 10 people would do it, judging by a number of people on the forum, the person would then recieved about 7/8 rep hits in return. This is classed as pointless. (The latter)

6 months is way too short, the previous system had a year as it was.

People are starting to ask better than the old system, I think the old system would now be a compromise imho.

I don't post in the forum games either, and personally I think that forum should have it's post count disabled as you can post in each of the threads about every 5 minutes due to it's popularity.

And at Jimbo, I think 600 is a reasonable figure.
