call me stupid but whats wrong with people having alot of rep or very little, the idea of it mattering to people is slim or it affecting the way of life when for over a year you could simply buy it...

isn't this just the managment being petty over something stupid people take pride in.... oh dear they have another bar. .. eventually when everyone has high amounts it won't really matter, is rep so important that annoying forum members is really the right choice.

Exactly. This had to happen some time or another, because over time the amount of total rep power would slowly grow, and it would then increase rapidly. You could compare it to the Earth's population, in 1900 there were 1bn people. Year 2000, 6bn people.

What the management have done is controlled it before it gets out of hand

As people who are attacking thoose upset by this are saying it is just green boxes so why was it a top concern for managment... oh dear people are having more little numbers moving about it will distablise the forum.... When i first joined rep was key to trust someone but people buy more vip in larger amounts and used to buy lots of ep anymore so surely that isn't really a valid excuse

maybe they are having a staff comp, who can annoy the most members in 2007 and this is their last go just before new years... just petty really , pointless and petty
