How many reps do you have from an administrator? Administrators hardly use reputation so it's hardly an issue. However, the administators rep has been 15 for ages now. I don't see why they need to change it because there are still people with higher reps than administrators.

That is absolutely besides the point. So just because there are already still people with more than admins means they shouldn't be affected?

You guys are admins helping run the forum- you are already paid by sierk for doing so. There isn't actually any feesable reason as to why you guys need 15 rep power, and therefore there isn't any justifiable reason why you should not be affected in this change you are enforcing upon the rest of the forum.

The fact that you believe admins don't use rep often is often irrelevant. There will be plenty of users who had 20rep or whatever who might not have made use of the system. Just because you believe that your 'group' don't use it doesn't mean you lot shouldn't be affected.

Try practising what you preach maybe. Hypocrites.

I'm not an administrator, I have been affected just as you guys have. It doesn't bother me that admins have a set rep power. I don't get why it's such an issue still.

It isn't a personal issue to me as I couldn't give a toss - but I fail to see why admins are left unaffected? They are supposed to be just members like the rest of us, yet for some reason they are exempt from a new forum procedure even though there is actually no reasonable explanation as to why they need to remain unaffected.

If they were members like everybody else they wouldn't be administrators, they do run the forum and I don't see why an administrator can't have a few benefits for running the forum.

Yes they help run the forum - but they are still members at the end of the day. Sorry but I think having a monthly paypal wage from sierk is enough benefit?

Quite clearly it seems to be different standards for different people.

I find it strange that the people who proposed this 'brilliant' rule and actually are in favour of it are the ones who are unaffected. However everyone else who doesn't want it are the ones who have it enforced upon them - err... clever.

If it's such a brilliant idea I don't see why admins don't practise what they preach and undergo it as well.

    True.

Wouldn't a higher goal towards a higher rep power encourage users to hand out more pointless rep to their friends in order to acquire that higher rep power?

    That's my view, at least.

Only managers get paid, so not all the administrators get paid.

I personally was up for it, and still am. Even though I have to live with the changes, I think it was a good idea, and with all changes, they will probably need tweaking slightly and will be done so I expect in time
