I'm still waiting to see why exactly this change has been brought in but has not affected admins?

Why should it have to?
Admins used to have dominating rep over everyone, why does it matter if they got it again?
People still have it higher than them, so if they did it solely to have everyone below them, then they would have "/

The issue of admin rep power really isn't one that needs to be pursued; it's unimportant and to put it bluntly, they are above us anyway so why shouldn't they have more rep power than most? Hell, I only ever wanted a high rep power so I could look cool (as everyone knows that high rep on a forum means you win in life), not to beat the admins.

My argument is nothing to do with admins not having more rep than us. I couldn't care less how much rep they actually have - I just don't see why they are left unaffected from such an ingenious policy that they so strongly believe in.

Because quite simply it doesn't matter, they've always had fixed rep.

admins do ALOT of work on the forums voluntarily mostly and so giving them rep wouldn't be a bad thing for them just as something for doing the job

because it will make rep even more meaningful to people. people with higher rep power will tell people that they have made ALOT of good posts to be repped for. this will make pointless rep fall. and you actually have to consider thoroughly who you are giving your rep too

Well I think most of the forum already do that so its like dropping a nuclear bomb
in order to create a hole for a waterwell. The measures are too extreme. 19% for 80% against is quite damning

What so having a really big rep power can't be viewed as an accomplishment? There's more to be proud of when the difference between you and others is more than when everyone has similar amounts.

so for you its all about being different from everyone else and to have dominating power? so you can be respected more?

making it harder to get a power means that you need more points and so when you get 1 power people will know that you have had alot of good posts to get it. therefore its more of an accomplishment from the easily obtained power from before
