Need a rule change ... your OPINIONS please.

To be fair, most of the threads closed "in mid discussion" are in reality having the same points repeated over and over again, or have gone offotopic completely and turned into a casual conversation between 2 or 3 members about the possible mating habits of a T-rex or something absurd like that. However, most of these threads do begin with a valid point and I feel most of these are largely ignored, something which needs to be worked on

If the same points are raised, it just shows how serious this matter must be taken, especially if the same points are raised by loads of different users.

Err the end bit of that infraction is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. So I could get an infraction for this?:

Because I am accusing someone of lieing :S Also "any other bad things" - what about negative feedback?!!? If someone asked for our opinion and I said it wasnt good, I could get an infraction?

MAD should infract himself for saying "That post is totally useless to me.". It comes under "other bad things".

I honestly dont care about my infraction, but the rules I have seen over the last few days are stupid. Its as if you cant make a negative comment about anyone.

I am not appealing against a infraction problem though? I am asking for a rule change and asking the members for their opinions. Stop being a power freak and read the thread properly. You seem to close all threads which criticize you.

Agreed, but the thread therefore exists purely for post count; it has ceased offering constructive comments and there are therefore grounds for closure

How does it exist purely for post count when if more points are rasied by different members, even if the same comment has been said? More members posting saying 'I agree that this doesn't work' means another member disagrees which is a foundation to work off of to improve how the forum is run. It's only there for post count if the same members repeat the same comment. Besides, I think worrying about post counts is the last thing management need to worry about when threads like this arise.

mad has plenty of common sense, probably even more than you
he closes threads which do not need a discussion
he reads the threads then makes an informed decision
the rules have been there for ages and im sure the rules are discussed by management as a whole before any are put in place. you just need to actually rresearch a bit before making outrageous comments and being rude about people

I have to say you are beginning to annoy me a bit now not because you are not entitled to your opinions but as you havent been here very long and seem to know everything about the forum and all about MAD. I am very confused as how you know all this. Wouldn't surprise me if the GM himself wasn't embarrassed reading this. Inappropriate threads i.e. the subject matter is not suitable and its usually done virtually straightaway or 2. because of arguments and rule breaking not because somebody thinks a post is not contructive. How would you define that one? 3. A Vip can close a thread of their own at anytime
