It's only there for post count if the same members repeat the same comment. Besides, I think worrying about post counts is the last thing management need to worry about when threads like this arise.
Members repeating the same comment is usually how the thread turns out; once the point has been made, argued, exhausted and supported it offers nothing more in the way of constructive comments.

I stand corrected, I am not a moderator and have therefore never read their code of practice. Maybe it would be an idea to make that code of practice public, as it seems to outline rules not displayed in the forum rules viewable by everyone.

I hate how people question the admins such as there rep power and why they have closed a thread.

They are the admins, they run the forum, not you - So if they want to close one of your threads because they do not think it is right then they can.
They are far to lenient with some of you these days.

Alot of you just set out to cause problems and question the admins decisions, maybe its your idea of fun.
For example that LiquidAcid guy, his signature is saying he is breaking the rules and to infract him, they should just ban him if he is breaking the rules purposley. No offence to the guy im just pointing out how some of you go out of your way to be a pain.

Yes well Jack if the rules and T&Cs were changed to say that it would be fair enough. I always thought that they ran the forum for the benifit of the members? Are you saying when you were here you could just close a thread without adhering the owners directions in the matter?

The forum used to be a lot more lenient than it is now.

I doubt anyone on here apart from the odd few actually read the rules and terms and conditions otherwise there wouldnt be so many infractions going around.
And I always think if you have a problem with the rules or T&C then it is best to just PM the asm or whoever.

The forum is for the benefit of the members, however a large majority of members abuse that.

I would close a thread if i felt it was not going to do any good for any members or was going to cause problems.
When you moderate/administrate for so long you can tell what the thread is going to turn out like. I am not even sure what thread your all talking about though, to many pages to read.
My edit on his thread would tell the owner what he has done wrong.

The rule is too general. HxF is run with too strict rules imo, but hey thats just my opinion.

Hmmmm more than a slight exaggeration here I think... I do not think this at all - can you be more specific

    Problems for who exactly? Jack

Yes well I did moderate for quite a while myself and its true you do tend to know but I used to keep an eye on it and wait to see if in fact it did break the guidlines before closure. Also most regular members do keep up with threads and they don't have to reply if they are not interested.
My edit on his thread would tell the owner what he has done wrong.

Well by all means close a thread and tell the thread starter what they have done wrong but every forum has to have its own guidelines and rules or there would be complete chaos. If you can't avoid the filter because there is a rule saying so then a thread should not be closed without a proper reason which is agreed by the owner/GM. Otherwise it there is no consistency of moderation and appears to be complete double standards

Anyway I give up debating it, as it will just go back and for etc.

The GM wasnt admin at the time when I was here so we didnt have this stuff to worry about :p
