Look at it this way, Liverpool have had Gerrard, Carragher and I think Carson.
City have had Kasper, Onhuaha (can't spell it :8), Johnson, Ireland, Miller, Sturrige, Etuhu, and Barton. Could have been more but we've produced to many I can't remember most of them, shame who ever tries to stick up for the rags wont have that problem.

Hadn't a lot of their 94/95 premiership title win consist of players that had come through their academy? (David Beckham, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs - Who was at City @ 14Yr's old but.. the 3 years after that he was at Utd, so that meant he came through their academy..)

All of them have had pretty decent careers, and have been First Team Regular's for their respective teams. Not a bad crop of players there..

Both wrong I'm afraid. Cleator Moor Celtic . Scott Carson played for Cleator Moor first before any league club. Local lad :8.

Couldn't believe the result last night like. Swansea getting beat and the youth team getting through. Alex Mitchell playing in goal for the youth team used to go to my school .

Exactly.. so that group of players have had their turn and are now moving into retirement and managerial/coaching roles.

So now they'll most likely bring a fresh batch of players through. Danny Simpson, Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton, Pique ect ect.

They're probably not bringing through as many anymore as the premiership has become so much more competitive than it was back 14/5 years ago. So to compete, you need the 'cream of the crop', when it comes to young talent. Hence signing's like Anderson, Nani, Tevez, Rooney, Ronaldo. Who are some of the best under-23 players in the world.

I think Ipswich have produced some good players over the years.. maybe alot of them haven't reached their full potential but they've been solid players.

Matt Holland, Titus Bramble (cough), Darren Bent, Darren Amborse, Hermann Hreidarsson, Richard Wright, Jonathan Walters

Man Utd aren't bringing many players through their youth system because they have the option of buying in better players from abroad. Don't be suprised if in a few years time if City aren't bringing through many players, 'cause they will have the money to buy in foreign players which is a more feasible option. I know you're just fighting your cause because you're a City fan (I think?), so your bound to be against United in every way. But the fact is, the Man United youth team is still touted as one of the best in the country, albeit with City/Arsenal enjoying more success with theirs at the minute. Oh, and like Grainger mentioned, Carson was signed by Leeds from Cleator Moor who play in something like the 9th step below the conference. His younger brother, Grant, is also a 'keeper and is on our books at the minute.

    Anyways, back on topic... c'mon H&W :8.

Yeah, he's one of about 6 at the club . And aren't H&W set to make about half a million from the tie? Total windfall for them, could last them years!
