If you see spam posts use the report icon on the side of the post to report it and it'll get sorted.

I think it's fine how it is; Person spams, mod gives them an infraction. They continue then they get banned. If I see somebody spamming, I report it. It's usually dealt with quickly!

Just going to add, about the post counts; If somebody spams to get a higher post count, they regard post counts as some sort of 'title', if you get me. So their pride and joy post count goes up from spamming, so do the infractions. Eventually they'll be banned or warned to stop - so problem solved.

If you see a moderator spamming report it to J1MI or Elkaa. They can take action and warn the moderator.

I'm sure they do something, Jake. But they may know you have a grudge against the mod (which I know you have one again a certain mod) or they think it's not a good enough reason to take action.

Honestly does it matter that much? There are rules in place to govern short answers and posts not relevant to threads so they just need reporting in the usual way.

Some people just like to post a lot - simple as that - its not as if it means a lot. Quality is more important than quantity as far as I am concerned although I do post in forum games sometimes myself.

It doesn't spoil my enjoyment of the forum though. If someone is excessively spamming it becomes obvious very quickly.

Good post Rosie, I would +rep you but I can't atm.

With your last comment it does become obvious and the moderators or admins deal with it, so all is well!

I have to admit, since the new moderators were introduced many more threads are being dealt with quicker, which is logical.

    ----------

My rant starts at the point of, how many people are too concerned with their post count, and are spamming up the forum, with useless threads, useless posts, and moderators, are taking hardly any action towards this issue.
Yes, sorting this issue, could cause a loss of users, due to the fact they cannot get their posts up fast enough, or a loss of reputation because of the forums vast post mounts.

But, if we look through a lot of the threads within the forum, you'll find,
short useless posts, which, are basically just used to gain a post count.

    My Suggestions

I believe there a few ways this can be brought to a stop, or, a decrease in useless post counts.
    1. A, post count limit per person.
    2. The ability to vote if the post is useful or not, if it gets say, 10 no's, it should be deleted from the thread, and the person recieves a warning for useless posting.
    3. A higher minimum on the post character limit.

I hope this is taken into consideration.

    - Josh
One - That would never happen because some people do make a lot of genuine posts in a day and this would cause restricted access to the forums.
Two - People would vote spam on members they hate. I know for a fact this would happen.
Three - Forum games do not require more than 6 characters per post a lot of the time.
