Talking about this always makes people sad, causes arguments. I think it should just be remembered in our minds.

Years ago when i was doing my gcses on terroism, studied quiet deep into the IRA,Umm.. the ira pretty much ****** up britain and ireland for 30 years..
where's the big discussion on that then? dozens of people died in numerous bombings....
oh wait look! hundreds of people dieing a month in iraq and afghanistan.... can we discuss that too?
dont forget the civil war stricken countries in africa and eatern europe...
nooo, because it was welll-off white people who died we all have a field day, who cares if somebody dies in another country? who cares about the suffereing of thousands around the world at this moment in time?
9/11 and 7/7 are nothing compared to the atrocities going on in our 'civilised and modern' society
Theres a difference between them all, Ok so people die is the underlying causes
Sept 11th and July the 7th were both attacks to cause terror in stable countries out of the blue (or so anti-terroism agencies lead us to believe) causing massive loss of life to both... "well-of white people" and to the rest of the people (i'm not sure why you singled out white people, sounds a bit racist)
Sadly, it appears you think your finding a lone battle, there are thousands if not millions of people who care for thoose in third world countries after all perhaps i should introduce you to the Red Cross, a charity i donate to and Oxfam.
You seem to think that Terroism means nothing in a world thats pretty uncontroled which is completly rubbish, Its because the Uk and the US are first world countries (along with the EU, Australia, New Zealand etc etc etc) That get attacked that makes it crappy, we are slowly turning 3rd world into 1st world through aid and education and support.
The More i write this the more selfish you seem in my mind
agreed Lets not, we can learn alot about our History from such events, we can progress because of it, after all after WW2 as you so mention did people just say its in the past lets just give thoose Nazis a hug!It is over with, it was seven years ago, so lets quit talking about it, put the past to rest?
WW2, WW1, Cold War, Vietnam war, we still talk about those? Those happened a very long time ago, yet we still talk about the past..
Its just not something you put behind you, it killed people.. not just one or two.. kids lost their dads, babies lost their mothers, now get in their shoes.. just forget about it..
I think not.
WW1 and WW2 are in standard UK primary and Secondary school education because of it, the Cold War i believe isn't taught because it was more of a wait then a war, and everyone knows about Vietnam, Wars i think which are more important to know about you've missed off that list (i know it was a quick list written by you) such as the Korean war or even the falklands
You don't forget about the loss of someone, you don't forget about why they went to war after all did they die in vain for you and to relate because to the Sept 11 and July 7th, did do they mean nothing to you? is a human life so poor that you should forget about it.

And I agree about people not being able to forget due to love ones, I would assume that the people that are saying 'forget' haven't lost a close family member, but I'd probably be wrong because everyone deals with death differently.
This thread just needs to be closed.
really? almost jealous of you, i'm quite the fan of history especially war related, can learn alot from itI was taught about the cold war and Vietnam war...

I probebly have lost a family member in war at some point or another in history but not in the last 100 years, and i refuse to forget and i don't see why people do, i can only assume they arn't educated to understand why which is their own loss
