same thing happened with my laptop. Screen wouldn't work - sent off. Eventually came back and NO form of internet was present. They told me all this crap and made it like I was stupid as the odds of ethernet and wireless not working was slim to none. Turns out they were wrong.
Even now its touch and go whether it'll read a disk - don't buy an acer laptop.
