School is one of the easiest place to batter someone and get away with it. Don't know about your school but when we used to have fights at our school, a massive crowed would gather round and it would take the teachers ages to get to the back of the field to stop it and by the time they had got there everyone had scattered and no one would grass anyone up.

That's not the case round here. Whenever I've seen fights take place staff are usually extremely quick to respond. So much so that there is no need to grass anyone up because they're usually caught in the act. I think it depends where the school is located and the layout of the school.

You can't shadow your friend forever though so it might be a good idea to take a step back. It's not nice to have to watch your back I know that. Talking with the girl and sorting out any differences might be worthwhile. Just explain to her that he feels threatened and explain that he won't go anywhere on his own now. Tell her the affect that it is having on his life both at school and out of school. If she has a brain she'll think about.

That's not particularly good. I can understand teachers wanting to not get injured but at the end of the day the school has a duty to protect its pupils and if staff just stand and watch then they're not fulfilling that duty. I'm sure each school has staff who are trained to deal with these incidents. There's no excuse for standing back and watching the kids fight each other.

Ive seen when teachers do stand in the middle to break it up they end up being punched so i suppose its safer to just watch

To be fair, Just ignore it but if he does square up to you dont stand down or run away stand strong and smack him back like said above.
