I still don't see what the problem is with the avatar. As someone mentioned, you can see swearing in Habbo but of course that's an option to be enabled & disabled by the user. If you feel strongly this is wrong, then so be it. The management are sadly getting ever more ignorant of their users, it took a while to change .eu to .com didn't it? How long before you realise the way you're operating is rather corrupt, and that you're sending HabboxForum down the tube?

I hope it's soon, because I love this forum and I go on it everyday, so I wouldn't like to see it wrecked by the people who try to uphold it.

There was a general consensus between the super moderators and forum manager that the image is unsuitable for the forum. It's also clear that a number of members agree. There may be a vocal few (yourself included) who oppose the decision, but can you really speak on behalf of the hundreds of members who visit each day, as well as the prospective members taking a look at the forum for the very first time?

I don't see the need in potentially offending some users so that one member can have a slightly amusing (according to some) avatar that, when analysed, implies sexual content and promotes the degradation of women. I'm sure there are numerous other images that don't subscribe to the aforementioned.

A consensus eh? I'm guessing the Habbox council wasn't involved in this, I mean they don't have a say in anything to do with the members do they? I find that probably the most ironic statement said on my time on this forum, and it actually makes me think "Why did Habbox introduce a council who have no voice?" In reply to your comment about how a number of members agree, I think you'll find a majority of users will not agree, because:

    - The majority of users disable their filters on Habbo
    - Have one or two infractions (not everyones law-abiding)
    - Actually have a sense of humour

I mean, when you say a vocal few then you'll find these are the people who are quite active on these forums. We may not speak on behalf of hundreds of members, nor do we try to, but to be honest Who would know the users better than themselves? It's the 21st Century, and we don't all live in a community where swearing is shunned upon & earns you a place in the gallows. That is basically how this community is starting to look like.

As for the 'prospective members', you'll find these people may also have a sense of humour about them. It's cartoon characters for gods sake, and if you really take something like that into offense and turn it into something to do with the rights women have, and such? You should work for the british film/gaming standards. If we have users who are offended by that, then they're probably people who shouldn't be on forums.

The Habbox Council cannot realistically be consulted on every single decision that any moderator makes. Surely some things have to be left to their discretion, otherwise their jobs would be rendered useless.

I can't beleive people have taken this image so seriously .... Its super mario for gods sake first off how does this promote degradation of women does it suggest anywhere in that picture that princess peach is being raped or she isn't enjoying the sexual act ? I don't think it does .... For gods sake people just look waaaaay to far into things and I've seen pictures in peoples sigs which I find way more sexually suggestive than this.. I just find this whole situation stupid and slightly humorous because again the top 'dawgs' are flexing their muscle showing us who's boss over a stupid cartoon picture...
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

I wasn't asking for them to be consulted on every single decision, however when a members rights are involved, you would think they would, wouldn't you? I thought it was the Councils job to give the members a voice in some of the affairs of Habbox. I think it's becoming clear now that Moderation is one of those affairs which is deemed as 'forbidden' for the council to (in Moderators words) 'interfere with'. If that is indeed correct, then I think you need a change of policy, and in the way you operate your Moderation. Quickly too, because you're standards are becoming way too high for a teenage community.

Well, that's the bottom line for the way you're moderating!

If I'm right, the council are perfectly free to speak about moderation policies and forum rules and the such like, but you can't expect them to be consulted on a single decision for one member's avatar can you?

so your saying that the person who removed the sig consulted nearly every person in management and super moderators before they removed the image. i highly doubt that if you cant even be bothered to consult a council. The council was made so the users got a say.

hold on, you jsut said that there was general consensus to the image between the staff but now your saying their allowed discretion make up your mind..
and also, no, not every decision but it is clear that this is a big enough issue because their have been 50ish replies to it.

There have been much worse sigs that people have had in their signatures and images like half naked women posing and people kissing in what can only be hinting something. A cartoon image that hints at something is hardly the same. for one, its a cartoon and not even real. and two, its not even offensive

if there are some users that are offended by that image then they shouldnt even be allowed on the forum (meaning that there too young to even be on here). The majority of the main users on the forum find the image hilarious and see it as a joke. the few users that would find that offensive are either being completely ridiculous or are actually joking.

Well as part of the Habbox Council I do not think we would be involved in decisions like that as it is something specific rather than general policy but in any event I support the moderation department here. This forum is for people of 11+. That cartoon would not be allowed on pre-water shed TV and certainly I have never seen anything like it in the Simpsons. :S What games of 11+ would you see these sorts of images in? :S

Apart from innuendo of what Mario is doing, the female charactor appears lifeless/drugged so that is not a very nice interpretation is it? It portrays all sorts of adult themes if you actually take a minute to study it. Those who find it funny well that's fine but I don't and I do have a sense of humour. Thanks.
