No matter how good the Britain entry is we will not be voted as all the old Soviet states will just vote for Russia and seeing as Europe hates us (yet likes to take our money) we won't get votes from them either.

Russia might not qualify, with only two other neighbours to vote them in their semi-final.

The reason why Britain never has any good acts is because they all demand large amounts of money.

And anyone remember Gemeni ? Jesus Mohammed...

The Jemini saga was a combination of bad equipment (everyone was off key) and the Iraq war. It was five years ago, so we should all move on. We did really well the year before, third place with 111 points.

I suppose our luck ran out on the 15 times we have achieved first place.

The eurovision knowledge of people in this thread almost made me miscarry.

    Useless people yet again.

I don't understand why we still do it really.

    Its just nil-pwa every year.
Well tbh, we have only ever got 0 points once, with Jemini. And that was the first time we have ever come last. To be fair, the only decent entry we have had in the past decade was Jessica Garlick, and we came 3rd with her.

eurovision is on every year cause bbc are in eurovision (some kind of european tv pictures sharing thing) and its just an event they hold.
European countries can apply for European Broadcasting Licenses and be part of the European Broadcasting Union. That doesn't mean they HAVE to take part. But we do, because we are part of the big 4 countries which means if we drop out - Eurovision is no more !

As far as I know the only time we've won it was with Gina G - "Just a Little Bit"
    *+*SCREAMZ*+*

we are a stupid country that makes stupid decisions.
Nah, its cus we are poking fun at ourselves. We don't take it seriously like other countries do (take Terry Wogans commentating for example). We just enter it for a laugh. It only has a cult following. Im sure we would take it seriously if it had the same viewers and fans as the World Cup for example

we are a stupid country that makes stupid decisions.
    Because its ******* awesome!
