Everything is a risk and nothing will never not be at risk though?By the screenshots I thought it came with 3.7.0, I thought vBulletin had finally done something cool. Clearly I was wrong
We have had a lot of bad experiences with hacks before, so we tend not to install them just so that the forum stays safe. Besides, Nick- does a fantastic job at doing reputation so I don't think there is any need for more Reputation Editors.
It is a good idea, but it's something I don't see happening because of the risks with hacks.
Come on, I admit it my self it's unneeded but it's a cool hack for us members, to view our history of reputation received. Maybe a VIP feature?
View our history, out first ever rep sent and received.
Hi
Lol, I can through the magic of AdminCP, in fact, one of the first things I did with the CP once promoted was to see what my very first reputation received/issued were out of sheer curiosity.
You could always PM me and ask, I don't see any reason as to why I can't tell you about your own reputation and its not exactly any hassle for me.
That being potentially true, the risks and possible costs involved with installing a hack outweigh the potential gain
I prefer Reputation EditorI'm not even going to bother going into the insecurity of unecessary hacks, I'll just say this:
You do realize, that if we created a position specifically for a Rep Checker (what did you call it?) then they would also have the task of scouring the reps of members for pointless +reps as well.
Do you really want that?
Its slightly more professional and shorter than the way Wayne described the job in his old usertitle (Reported Reputation Problem Solver)
Time is not exactly a factor when I check through reputation because its not the most time consuming part of my job and I have very little pressure to check through it unless I take some unexpected time off which inevitably causes a backlog. As long as I stay on top of the reported reputation, the reports don't build up and the overall task is easily manageable. You can set permissions for this, so users may not edit there own. You can set it for say Reputation Editors to just do this. It will save a lot of time respectful to Nick.
Saves time, and saves pressure off nick too. Plus you can have more people helping out HabboxForum.
But it is not just about the editing though, it's about us members viewing our archive.
As I said to Mexel, I don't mind telling you about your own ancient reputation and I can't see any problem with it from a policy point of view.![]()
People will just abuse it and remove all their negative rep received, If they were to get hacked the hacker will probably delete all their rep points , People will abuse the comment editting.
Seeing as it's an Hack it will be an security risk.
Perfect solotution? I think not.
THIS IS A STUPID IDEA.
Sorry, just thought I'd get my point across quickly. Anyway, this is a stupid idea as it will ruin rep all together. Users can just remove ALL of their -rep and so easily get hundreds of rep points. Leave it to -Nick, he does a fine job as it is.
If users can delete and edit rep then I'm against it... unless you mean staff can only do that.
Just need to state that if it would come in, users would not be able to edit their own reputation, only administrators or whoever. That's a very big if by the way.

USERS CAN NOT EDIT REPUTATION COMMENTS, USERS CAN NOT DELETE THERE REPUTATION COMMENTS OR ARCHIVES OR REPUTATION IT SELF.
Only usergroups with permissions set by the admins.
I won't be too disappointed if it was not brought in but at least it's getting into consideration. Make it for just VIP or something?
Hi
I know I spell it that way because it sounds cooler in my head. Hohmshloyce. Something like that.
Yeah its not exactly something we can allow too many people to have.
As much as I respect you for having that opinion and not whining about it as others have, I think if we took a general poll it the opinion would go the other way.
Also with hacks, even if it requires no template editing *now* its possible that for future versions it may require template editing.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.
