What I dont like is that they are 'Bred to die'. I would have nothing against it if they were hunted or whatever, its the fact that they are born and have no chance of survival, their only purpose is to die.

Although I totally disagree with the manner in they are killed etc, at the end of the day without a system where we make chickens that are bred to be eaten, there would not be enough food for the world's population to survive.

The only reason we all have food at the moment is because of techniques where animals are made bigger and are bred faster. The same goes for fruits and veggies although they have no feelings .

Nothing the majority of us don't know. Anyway, it's a dog eat dog world... in this case a human eat chicken world. It may be "cruel" but whatever, it leads to us eating meat, and getting a lot of protein, rather than have it packed into processed junk such as quorn.

Yes, I'm not against the killing of them, even though I am a veggie, but surely they should do it the same way as pigs? Not invent their own method of ripping their heads of while they're alive or breaking their legs throwing them into boxes

This argument gets raised many many times. A chicken and a human are different, the chicken has less common sense and brains to realise what state it is in, the human would react.

But I do agree, the chicken from KFC is terrible anyway and the way they slaughter them isn't exactly a nice thought.

EDIT: Don't PETA make aload of these videos? They kill animals themselves to publicise their cause. The video that springs to mind is animals being skinned alive. What a stupid idea that is, when the skin would be blood soaked and useless afterwards.
