I was reading an interesting letter the other day. Perhaps you should get your mum to read it. Here is the link:

Today, I told my sister I was gay. She's was ok with it and supportive.
I told my Mum and she didn't understand. She said we're gonna have a talk later. Out of all the people I've told, I thought she would have been the person who understood the most.
My friend has said that if she can't take it then I can stay with her while it's all blown over.

And like some people have been saying, try and talk it over, or give it some time, and in the end, if she can't accept you, its not your fault, so dont get worked up about: "if i didnt tell her, this wouldnt have happened" and "this is all my fault for being gay" etc. It isnt you fault, and there no point in getting upset for being who you are, and not what people want you to be.

You've gotta understand that your mum is proberbly shocked at first. Also remember she wants you to continue the family name, think of all her friends etc. she wont think about how your feeling, just give her time and if she really cares about you, she'll understand your natural and undesstand.
Personally Id disown you.

hilarious
personally id go live with my friend, then try and tell her again in a couple of weeks. let her have some time to process the information.
having said that, im sure my parents would be fine with me if i was gay
Is it just me or is being homosexual the hip thing to do now?
I mean I understand if you really are, but its almost like a trend.
You should wait a while - she probably don't want to tell you the real reason.
Leave it for a while - a day or two, even a week would help. Telling your mum your gay makes her feel she's lost something - she won't have Grandchildren from you...
if PHP is peanut butter...then...MySQL would be the jelly. Together they can make one heck of a good sandwich.
No offense but I think it's wrong for any parent to be like that. If a parent is prepared to make their child feel uncomfortable or consider disowning them because of their sexuality then they don't deserve to be a parent.
Your mum seems mean.
I love it when youflex like that
