It does, My old normal xbox was chipped, iveogtlike 300 games on it, but iove heard that if your 360 is modded, its getting a ban hammer layed down.

But ive heard also, you'll only be caught using modded games, Which i dont plan to do. So hopefully ill be safe.

I think modding unlocks the xbox so it's region free I'm not sure but the main purpose is for free games, if you're paying £200 for a chipped xbox you're basically paying what you'd get for a premium 360 with real games and the ability to actually play online, chipped ones normally get banned after a while and end up on ebay afterwards

I wont be palying the modded games, only the genuine ones, If that helps. ;<

I don't think you can get banned for playing real games on a modded console, I think it only matters if you play copies because they can detect that easier, I'm not sure though :S I know another habbox user has a modded console and he isn't banned yet I don't think but he might just be lucky, he has 30k gamerscore so I think he's been lucky so far
