i know this because
1. Sid from Skins works in Topman in Bristol Centre
2. Because i live in a Bristol.
3. over 6 of my friends were extras in skins and said all the main actors are stuck up and think they can pull any girl they want because theve been on some program that ruins the reputation of Bristol and also they cant act for a piece of turd.

Skins will fall apart after the 3rd series unl3ess they find people that CAN act.

LOL, your friends are obviously just jealous then (that is if they actually were extras...) because the main characters actually get the most air time. The majority of the leading stars probably could 'pull' any girl they want, but hey...

Also, Bristol's reputation, being ruined? It needs a good reputation first before it can be ruined. They can act, too otherwise they wouldn't have been such a hit already.

I know 6 or 7 people who've been extras in Skins, it's really not that hard. I swear it's becoming a compulsory if you live in Bristol.

They cannot act, the reason it's so popular is because Great Britain is over-populated with uneducated, wannabe, mindless teenagers. Which is also why they could probably pull anyone they like, because no one here seems to have any self-respect or dignity.

I hope you're not insinuating that all fans of the show are uneducated, wannabe and mindless teenagers because I'm sure only a minority of the viewers are. I don't know whether to regard you saying fans are 'wannabes' as a contradiction, because being an extra is a kind of wannabe act, to be honest.

I find it crap, but I can understand why it is popular... I look outside the box and find the story lines bizarre and random AND the filming is terrible. Continuity issues are at large on it.

They can't act, but that doesn't mean it's a crap show for some, because it reflects something that hasn't been done before. It's interesting that it's even around for those very reasons. I watched another episode in the hope that the storyline might actually be interesting, but it all seemed like a load of overaggerated (or probably accurate in the world of drugs and drink) classic teenage behaviour as often portrayed by the media. I can see why it would appeal to people, but I prefer something with a good gripping storyline, not an hour of drunk teenagers fighting.
