My mam was an alcoholic but wnet into rehab, hasnt touched alcohol for 2 years. (V. proud of her tbh) and my dad doesnt get drunk. he can down like 20 (small exaggeration) beers and still be sober

Yes. They sometimes go out at weekends. At least once every 2 weeks.

My parents don't get drunk. I think it's self-control and they know their limit and when they've gone too far.

my dad doesnt drink at all. he stopped doing drugs+smoking+drinking a year or so back, so he stays away from it mostly.
my mum drinks a bit, but only at home if its some kind of occasion. she never goes out.

my mum and dad are both hilarious when they are drunk. my mum often falls to sleep in my bathroom and my dad insists with coming to see what i'm doing and he goes on my MSN and stuff. things he'd never do sobre. once before he took my mobile and thought it would be funny to ring all my mates at 2am, it was quite funny though.
