Photoshop because it's much easier than fireworks. I never got anywhere with fireworks.
And I agree with gangster, paint is the best for habbo layouts. Just wish I had it on mac lol.

I choose photoshop, it's better all all-around and has a nice slice-feature which comes handy when coding you're website. Saves a lot of time/coding. Photoshop is hard to use, but when you get all the buttons and such sorted out, it can be quite simple to create a advance sig in minuites. Layouts can take hours though but still be amazing

Photoshop is for design were as fireworks is not only for design it's also good for other web based things but many people ignore them features all togeather, plus many people don't take the time to learn anything about fireworks, tbh a good designer familar to both programs could produce a good layout in either, althogh the version of fireworks I have/had doesn't have a format like the PSD photoshop has to save your documents so it was harder to edit, and photoshop is easyer to get the hang of so I voted for photoshop.

But both programs have now been merged in new versions as the companys have merged.
