I wasn't trying to control; I didn't realize that Stansted ground had logged on, and there for I just told departing pilot if he wanted me to give him clearance (as I have an aerial view of the airport) that he was to feel free and ask.

AKA trying to control from a position which your not authorised, which breaches the VATSIM CoC.
