It was one person and he told MAD about the exploit but MAD took no action, so Davetaylor exploited it prove to how easy it was. People are not aware that he didn't steal information and had no intent on doing so. He was making it obvious, for the good of the forum.

Mine was 21 days old. I think this is a pretty stupid idea to be totally honest as it's more likely now that we will forget our passwords.
