ye,h i had origonally had the pitch set up because the plane was banking down with pitch at 0 degrees, and when i realised it was still set, i was already landing and easing back on the stick which made it flare to much

No, opening a window would mean the pressure would be extremely high. They're dropped out like bombs out of a fighter plane.
