Mad might as well have put that he closed the thread because he wanted to instead of copy and paste the t&c's. I agree with gomme that he should have put a valid reason as its not like the thread was a personal attack etc. To be honest I think its more a question that he did not want public support for catzsy with people questioning her exact reasons for leaving the failed council. one of the most dedicated HxF members has jumped the sinking ship and the only way the council would work is if the hxf management were 100% behind it. nvr seems to have put alot of work into the council and it either needs full backing or scrapping.

nvrspk4 is annoyed with the council, everyone is. We have no power and the whole point of the council changes every week/2 weeks. People want change, the council is meant to offer this, but we've been told that we are only there to make up new ideas and I refuse to think up new ideas when there are changes desperately needed. The saying "Don't sail more wooden boats into a port which is currently burning" comes to mind. We're not given a response by higher management with what our verdict is on a few ideas and problems either.

I think so too really. We started questioning the resignation immediately in that thread, so I think MAD closed it to prevent some accusations flying around which could even be true. I agree that the council has failed, but it's only because the Management just don't want to back it because it's their decision to make changes, not the council. They have to get used to the fact that the reason the Council was formed, was to give the users a voice. By the sounds of it though this voice is being silenced by members of the Management team, because of reasons I haven't got a clue about.

I can't blame nvrspk being annoyed... There's not enough power being given to the council, and that should change. I'd say putting something in effect would be well for the May elections. It does sound like the Council is kept in the dark on what decisions are made, and they sound more like a brainstorm crew... Or as my old employability teacher called it, "Thought showering".
