Obviously that's not EVERY horror based game but it's normally the case really, horror is too predictable

Not sure if Never has the same reason as me or not but we're probably not far off on why we're not into games like this
It is a horror survival game.
Yeah, pretty much the same reasons. I don't like many horror games or movies, I find them to be very boring, more about the blood and gore than everything else and basically all the same thing.
But I'm willing to try this game out because of how realistic they're trying to make it. The creators said the game is meant to scare the player by atmosphere and not by bloodlust or violence, which I think is really cool and it's set before World War I which wasn't the nicest of times and the designers have obviously put a lot of effort into the characters and monsters. I mean that Likho monster is actually scary, which is what it should be.

Yeah, it is the concept art. No actual in game footage has been released.

Just like the French movie Ils (Them) which has killing but only a few die that you actually see then the rest of it is just 2 people running from the kids and trying to escape but eventually they get caught by them aswell, which is more scary than seeing a mutilated body

Exactly. Some horror games/movies have the right idea, but the majority go off in the wrong direction.

    Just found some other information.

    • Sadness will have 10 different endings.
    • 2 Characters will be playable; a 30-something woman and her young narcoleptic son.
    • The main story features around the woman, who is of Polish-Hungarian origin and spent her childhood in England.
    • Utilizing your surrounds is extremely important since your character have an inventory full of weapons.
    • The game will feature no load times and include around 20 hours of gameplay.
    • There will be eighteen different species of monsters that according to your chosen path will determine which ones you see, if any.
    • Friendly monsters will also make an appearence, which are expected to help you on your journey.

This game is unique, because the way you play can’t be done on any other console. E.g. If there's a burglar in your home, you can pick up a shard of glass and slash his throat by swinging the Wii remote. You can use it to aim flashlights and throw ropes etc.

Sounds good, they're defintly using the best of the wiis abilities, lets hope they don't ruin it and throw in some rubbish multiplayer like The Darkness did

I'd love to see this game released but the outlook is looking bleak. According to the features which the game is suppose to have, either the game production will be cancelled or UK will refuse to stock it. (Another case of manhunt perhaps?)

Yeah, I was wondering if it would follow Manhunt. If it does get banned in the UK, I'm willing to get my Wii chipped or whatever it is these days just for Sadness. But lets hope that won't happen.

Nibris are still alive and well and working on Sadness though, so the future is bright.

I was just reading the features again and notice he save thing and thought "well that's stupid.." they shouldn't hide the fact the game is saving because if you need to go out how do you know if it's saved?

Well if you have to go out then tough luck.

I think its a really good feature. Everything you do in the game leads to something else. So if you turn it off and it hasn't saved, you won't have to do the same thing again when you come back to play it because it changes depending on what you do. It will definitely keep the feeling of reality.

Yeah, if it was on Wii, they'd actually have to downscale the graphics .
