Default Formula One to return to BBC TV

    Damn
I like the current set up on itv with the commentaters and interviewers they currently have, but hopefully the bbc can do just as good or better

The BBC has secured the television rights to show Formula One in the UK from the 2009 season. The five-year deal for an undisclosed fee marks F1's return to BBC screens 12 years after it switched to ITV.
The contract covers all platforms and will see F1 broadcast on the BBC Sport website, as well as on TV and radio.
F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone said he was "delighted", adding: "The BBC has some innovative ideas to consolidate and expand our UK fan base."

At least there won't be adverts half way through a race.
Glad BBC have got the rights.

I agree with you, lets hope BBC can live up to ITVs standards.

    Good. ITV's coverage annoys me.

Does this mean the end of the Eastenders omnibus on a sunday?

I'm not sure how BBC will be able to fit the night race into their schedule :S But that's not my problem is it! Bring it on

    Wrong.

That's like saying dark and milk chocolate are the same. Sure they're both chocolates but they're not the same.

NO MORE COMMERCIAL BREAKS EVERY 10 SECONDS WOOOO! bbc will also probably sign ITV's commentators as they're going to be out of a job. And BBC will stick eastenders on BBC2 on race days?
