    Exclamation GTA4 - City Size

Well, we all know the size of GTA3 & Liberty City Stories, the area is small, isn't it, Http://www.Rockstar.com/IV/, its set at the same place, ether they have streched that area, there's more to come or they sacrificed map size for more detail, if they sacrificed map size it's Microsoft/Xbox's fault for being so competitive and not using Blue ray that can carry 40GB, ether way the maps looking too small for me.

    I would like your opinion!

The map is 4/5 the size of the san andreas map but it takes longer to cross because it's more realistic. Something like up to an hour to drive the full length, not 5 minutes like you could do in san andreas

Yeah it takes a while to travel it as its more realisitic. I read that on gamespot or one of the other game sites when they had a chance to play the game.

In terms of scale, GTA IV is about the same size as GTA: San Andreas, but the map size is considerably smaller. This is mainly due to the fact there is no desert or countryside in Liberty City. Liberty City in GTA4 is the biggest city R* have ever created.

Reading this thread makes me feel like I'm on the XBOX forums - more pointless GTA threads...

Yeah, looks fair to me. 4/5s of San Andreas minus countryside/desert.

Also, I can cross the San Andreas map in 5 minutes (without a plane).
(As in, bottom corner of Los Santos to top right by boat school).
    Doubt everything, even this.

I think the thing pushing the travel time up would be the traffic, even in GTA the New York traffic is too much to just barge straight through so I would assume alot of the game you'll be waiting behind cars lol

I wonder if you can play games on the mobile phone... something to pass the time.
