I found the easiest to be the test your strengh machine, 3 tickets I believe and all you need to to is press A fast
Garages are automatically unlocked when you get your first bike
Another good way to get tickets is to complete all 5 photography lessons then the tickets you get from carnival games is doubled

Do all photography classes and you can get double tickets as a reward then keep doing the bottle shooting game, shoot 300 bottles - a achievement then just do the hammer one till you get the tickets?

I ent got that achievement yet.
