Im on talktalk here, its ok.

But back home my parents use Virgin Media, which I think is the best.
I have heard Plus.Net has the best customer service.

Don't go with Orange They are the worst ISP I have ever been with. Their tech support didn't know a thing, we had problems and all they knew what to do was 'ok lets restart the router'. or 'lets wipe the settings and try again'

After we just changed to talktalk (with out finishing the contract lol)

That's really weird, because Orange are unbelievably good for me and my family :S Free upgrades, fast and effective service for when we set up the router and when there were issues they were dealt with within minutes :S

BeThere/o2 (they're both using Be's network) so go straight to BeThere the supplier. If you can't get it then Virgin Media or Plusnet.

Just wait till you get problems. Do the free upgrades mean you have a new contract? And beware of the "PPP Server Down" error

What I've gathered so far, looking at top ISPs are:

Bethere(/o2 - might get that as theres a discount on it for o2 customers)
    BT
    TalkTalk
    Kind Regards,

    Guy

Eclipse, they are very relaxed in terms of your usage.

Never had any issues other than when we installed a router, but that was solved within minutes of phoning them up and telling them we had a router, and I've been with Orange ever since they took over Wanadoo. The free upgrades just happen. When mum logged into her Orange account it said "You have been upgraded to 8mb, free of charge. This is the maximum your phone line can support" or something along those lines.

That's why I find it odd that people have issues with Orange, because the service they provide for the family is incredibly good
