    I think it looks good, crisp and clean, not tacky like MySpace (worst design, ever, I've never understood why MySpace is so popular...) although the whole thing could do with a little brightening up a bit. It is all a bit grey and dull. Although professional and simple, I think you need more bright, vibrant colours in the background at least, or the header even

    Overall, I like it though good luck

    Social networking sites usually don't have backgrounds. There usally just a solid colour.

    Very nice I like the style.. I think you might end up running into trouble with the skins unless you really limit the customizability if thats a word.. (no red underline ) Myspace went down the toilet because people made their profiles completely uneligible, and facebook corrected that.. but looking good.

    You can hardly customize Facebook. It is pathetic, and it is way more professional then any social networking site.

    Users will be able to make their profiles the way they want to, if they want it looking like crap, let it look like crap, if they want it to be amazing, it will be amazing.

    It is the user's choice, in the end, it is their profile, and they can design it the way they want.

    It is the same with website design, you can't make it however you want, but it can be good, or it can be crap.

    Okay thank you for all comments, lets go through them;

    I agree with the content being boring. However there is a reason for that and you'll see once it opens. Pretty sure you can guess though. I also agree that the site does look very professional as we wanted to combine all the aspect of current websites, they being Bebo, Netlog, Facebook, MySpace and Hi5. The thing I personally and a couple of friends and family I asked disliked about them all (apart from netlog) is the awkward way they display content. It all seems an after thought and often is confusing to read. So we opted for a large, spacey look so it was easy to read and follow. This means that navigation is simple and the page loading is fast as we're keeping the image use down and just working with CSS.

    From seeing the screenshots myself I see how "bright" the content is, so that will have to be toned down at least a couple of notches.

    Onto the logo and header issues, these are the bits which aren't going to be changed. The design for them is basically what it's going to be like when it opens. I must admit statically on a screenshot they don't look so good but when you're actually on the site interacting with the buttons it looks a lot better. The logo on the other hand has to stay as it is as that's our branding. That's here to stay I'm sorry to say, as we wanted to show communication with the speech bubble then have a nice "funky" font with Klydo written over the top and thats what we came up with.

    Also you can't see the features which are to revolutionise the social networking world as that would kind of be ruining the revolution. Then if anyone saw it they could basically copy it before we even launch ours. Be patient and you'll see what we have done to hook everyone that ever visits

    Think that's about it, I only let Caleb post these previews on the condition that the HxF community weren't bad mouthing because of me. Seems to have worked as there hasn't been much hating of me in here. So thank you all for taking a professional approach to the thread.

    Thanks,

    Greg
