Your getting on my nerves by thinking your going to be the biggest thing since the earth was made. Fact is you've made a site with a system, your not over the hurdles yet, you said you had 30% done. What if you and greg fall out? Server costs? Advertisment costs? You have the funds to pay for that do you? Ahh but Tom and Chris know a hell of alot more than you and greg. Indeed your a good coder but your starting to get a bit bigheaded, your probably the best on this forum. This forum is nothing to the coding world so pop the bubble contained around your big head.

I have made a site, and the system, no we are not over the hurdles, and the hurdles are just beginning.

If you don't like the site, or the way things are going, again, quit talking about it.

I have to agree with Bojangles, but not the fact you won't get as succesful.
Just, that these huge networks, have large servers, over America, Europe etc.
You have 2, I doubt even servers. (I may be wrong) I, do think, with more staff, and primary data resources you have a bigger chance of competing.

The site isn't even public yet, why would we need more then one server at all?

MySpace doesn't have more servers then America or Europe, they aren't that big.

Google has more servers then most people, and it doesn't matter how many they have, it is how powerful they are.

It has been a month, we don't need, 300 servers, we don't have a big load.

Also, YouTube started out as a site where a mate and some friends could upload there videos, now they have been bought by google and are a massive video hosting site.

Now, moving onwards. All of these site have been a sucess by finding a hole in the internet market. EG, MySpace was one of the first SN sites so was YouTube. So IMO you need to find that hole and grab it

Which is what we are trying to do, give it time Not a month.

Neither of us said Klydo was going to be bigger than MySpace, Facebook or Bebo. We know we're never going to be as big as MySpace or Facebook but we have got a chance of competing for positions with places such as Bebo. Bebo isn't as big as it's made out to be, it's small than a lot of sites I've never even heard of, so our target is to get to the level Bebo is at. Bebo is the 119th most popular site in the world, now that compared to the likes of MySpace and Facebook is terrible. Both MS and FB are in the top 10 of the global 500, so we don't plan on getting anywhere near that as it's just no realistic. However we see a LOT of social networks these days getting into the top 2,000 even when they're not offering anything special other than "a new social network". Where as we've been planning, developing and implementing new ideas which can't be found elsewhere. This gives us a much greater chance of getting into the top 2,000 than any that are there at the moment.

We know how we're going to get there and are more than willing to put in the time to do it. The fact I left college to take on the project shows the determination we have and the faith I have personally in the project. This isn't just another site that people think they can make to be the next best thing, it's a targetted and planned project which we are going to work on until we achieve what we've aimed for. Once we've got it that's when we can start to worry about the big boys such as MySpace, Facebook, Orkut and Hi5. Until then we simply wish to compete with the smaller names and eventually Bebo. This alone will take at least 3 to 4 years but we will do it.
