He's over 21 now and at long last able to afford fully comprehensive insurance in his own name and he is paying £800 after one year of no claims.

My insurance is cheaper it's a fact that it costs less for females. Mine is around £650 fully comp and I've now got myself 18 months no claims. I drive a Toyota Yaris, low group insurance.

As a family we all use Tesco Insurance as there are benefits for multiple car policies. Give them a try or give compare.com a try too.

What insurance group is a C3?
I'm with Tesco Insurance too! Mine was £1100 when I first got a car, but it's alot lower now, but not sure how much, need to find the paper work

I think it's insuranger group 3 actually... :S maybe thats why it's quite high?

It has a 1.4 engine or whatever lol. (im not very carsy )

I don't really have a choice though as its my parents car I'll be using, and like I say other cars such as renault clio also seem to be similair price.

C3 do tend to be group 3 for a 1.4

My car is group 2, the lower the group the better for new drivers. I really do recommend checking compare.com you may get lucky

I pay almost $4000/year. I am the principal driver of a 2003 3.0L V6 Honda Accord EX 3.0L V6, and the occasional driver of a 2006 Lexus GS300 3.0L V6. I have a major accident (wrote-off a GMC Yukon shortly after getting my licence) and a few repairs I put trough insurance.
I'm at a point in my life where I don't care if you like me or you don't. If you like me, cool. If you don't, meh.

Isn't compare.com just for products and stuff?

I've used gocompare, confused and moneysupermarket with all giving the same sort of range.

This is even with my mum as the main driver on the policy...

Is this expensive? It means it's gonna cost like £130 a month.... Tbh I think this is quite expensive, but maybe I'm just expecting too much?

    Thanks...
A grand is basically the average for a learner in a low spec car.

I'm not old enough to drive myself, but my brother has the same problem as yourself (N)

Theres not really anything you can do to lower it, the more years no claims, the cheaper it will get, but as your only provisional, I doubt you have more than 1

merhhh it will go down slowly (Y)
