Well she survives, but what specifically happened is revealed in season two. Yes Ethan has a lot of "friends" too.

O right dunno, hope she does though that stuff with her sister ages back when it was one of her episodes was really sad.
You think that Jack went so crazy about going back because of the rest of them or mainly because Juliet was still there.
Its weird how he seemed so fine when they first get off the island and they all seemed to be reciting this lie. So he obviously doesnt miss her that much.

Well I think it ties with Michael being unable to kill himself. Jack ended up feeling guilty and tried to commit suicide (possibly several times) so he may want to return to the Island to set things straight. Maybe it's something else altogether.
