coinstar machines in england steal your moniesyeah, ive got around 100 albums. i work at a coffee shop, and we get tips, mostly change that people don't want. i get a pretty decent amount a month, so i go to a coinstar machine and turn it into amazon cash. got plenty of albums like that. it used to be i bought albums very rarely, only if i really really wanted it. now i buy them really casually.
and i was really skeptical of vampire weekend too. i heard the "mansard roof" demo and was like "meh," but when they gave it a good review (sometimes they hype up a band and end up actually trashing the album) i bought it. needless to say, i wasn't disappointed at all.
you have to pay like 8p per £1. its horrible![]()
im actually a bit bored of the entire album now, actually. i played it pretty much nonstop for about a month, the songs' catchiness didn't last. i'll probably re-discover them later in the year. best song = walcott, for shizzle. yeah, i've heard boston, its good. if it were to be on the album, it should replace "one," i never liked that song at all.haha, when i first heard mansard roof i was like "what the..", but then i downloaded the album to check it out and i love it. bit bored of a-punk now, but it's still a good album. the b-side to mansard roof should be on the album though - it's called boston or ladies of cambridge (originally called boston, they changed it). try and get hold of it if you can, good track.
oh, well in america there's a dealio thing going. if you want to turn it into cash, it's 9 cents out of every dollar, but you can turn it into itunes, amazon, boarders' or a bunch of other gift cards for free.
[bleh, sorry about double post, my bad]
ah that sucks. i dont think you get deals like that in england.
vampire weekend's album is incredible, i love 'oxford comma' and 'one', not really keen on 'bryn' and 'm79' though.
oxford comma, blakes (got a new face) and mansard roof are probably my favourites
but as a whole its a brilliant album, none of the tracks are bad imo.
oxford comma is amazing
i love m79 though.
and i got last shadow puppets album today :]
sounds wickedd so far.
when i first heard that these two were doing an album i didn't think i'd like it at all but i've been proved wrong![]()
i knew id probably like it, i go through periods of liking arctic monkeys loads, then not listening to them at all, so chances of me liking LSP were quite high.
yeah, i know what you mean. i've stopped listening to them so i can listen to them a bit before seeing them at reading festival and i wont be sick of them. my favourite is probably "walcott", although i like "one." not a fan of "m79" and"i stand corrected".im actually a bit bored of the entire album now, actually. i played it pretty much nonstop for about a month, the songs' catchiness didn't last. i'll probably re-discover them later in the year. best song = walcott, for shizzle. yeah, i've heard boston, its good. if it were to be on the album, it should replace "one," i never liked that song at all.
oh.
i like every song on the album tbh, but i never really thought it was an amazing album. it's good, but not one of the best imo. i don't ever mind another playing ;]
