I used the old jailbreakme method first time round, but after that, I have used ZiPhone twice, worked fine every-time, but I have heard of a few people making silly little mistakes and it buggering up they're Touch or iPhone, so the only thing i can say is be careful really.

Mehh I wasn't sure at first but I used pwnage tool, ain't going to refer to locked til 2.0 comes out, however it is impossible to brick an ipod or iphone the only actually recorded proper brick was from 70+ flashs and the ROM died.

TBH, I think after the 2.0 update, having jailbreaked ipod will be pretty pointless, as most good apps will be free..hopefully

    that's a crazy price
can't they just post a link to download the App, then you add it to your iPhone/Touch someother way, apart from having to go through iTunes?

Well $99 isn't huge per year if you think about it really, also no as apple want to "monitor" applications going through however I bet someone will create a repo/program to allow 3rd party applications.
