With the character of Ironman not being the most internationally established superhero, I had mixed feelings going into the film through fear of it being just a cash-in on the comic book sub-genre craze that Spider-man began in 2002, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a thoroughly entertaining and refreshing film with engaging storytelling. I wonder how this will fair with Nolan's The Dark Knight and The Incredible Hulk around the corner.

Exactly my feelings tbh, I have a hitch, The Dark Knight, will suffer heavy losses due to the death of Heath Ledger.

I hope you are joking. Heath Ledger wasn't even that much of an established star; he was on the road. Batman Begins was hugely successful and the sequel is penned to be as well. Heath's death will only create more of a buzz for people to see his last ever film. Bale was the original draw for the film, not Ledger.

I'm just saying some people might have a unnecessary, want not to watch.
But, Christian Bale, yeah was the main draw.

Omgosh, I hate those 'after credits' teasers because if you don't know about them, you miss them. Thanks for the spoiler, Samsabear.

When I was asked to go to the cinema to watch Ironman (a plot to get me out of the house, tbh), I had mixed feelings. Reminded me of a kiddie's movie from the title having never seen the trailer or read the comic....

I was forced to eat my words. Funny in many places and the whole cinema laughed when....

Thought it was also funny when

Despite all the funny parts, there were also some serious parts, which would have had me on the edge of my seat if it wasn't for my tonsils causing me grief... all better now though. Sore throat I think it was
