    I doubt it's true.

Nobody has lived past 125, let alone 256.

If people lived around 200, then it could possibly have some truth, but I highly doubt it.

Plus considering that the person in context lived quite a while back, people were more easily swyaed due to the lack of communications.

That's a load of baloney. It's the first I've heard of this.. if it were true don't you think it would have been publicised a little more?

    And seriously... 256?

Hmmm, seems a bit vague... There doesn't seem like alot of evidence to prove it. It could be a number of men with the same name and the documents got muddled, or somehow there's a mis-translation and he was 56 or something. Would be interesting if it is true though

"Unfortunately, we may never know. You may draw your own logical conclusions."

My logic tells me 'No way!" and that more concrete evidence is needed to prove it.

I just looked at the date when I finished reading it to see if it said '1st April 2008'

Is this a joke? I have not had a look at that link yet but I was just wondering if this is serious because I have never heard of this 256 year old man!?
