i havnt played it tht much and im still only on the first island, are there any 'tw@ cafes' on the first island?

Yeah there are, there's one. When you do the 'Logging On' mission for Roman it will appear as an icon.

Is the new GTA map like the GTA3 map? Or is it like san andreas or something?

It's sort of similar to GTA 3 where you start on the right island and work your way to the left islands, unlocking the main island (Algonquin and whatever the centre one is in GTA 3) half way. The only difference is GTA IV is based off New York while GTA 3 is fictional.
